Yoga Therapy is a gentle and healing class focused on bringing the body and mind back to the state of balance. Many chronic health issues or physical ailments are a result of postural habits, muscles imbalances, stress and tension in daily life. Through the understanding of anatomy and biomechanics of the body, we work to refine the alignment of the body by using yoga postures to increase stability and optimize mobility, while also relaxing the body to bring the nervous system back to balance.  

Personalised for your body's needs and goals, one-on-one (or semi-private up to 2 students) yoga therapeutics sessions are ideal for anyone who would like to address certain kinds of physical or health concerns. Tension, pain or injury to the neck, wrists, shoulders, hips, or knees are just some of the issues that can be addressed.

Whether it is caused by habitual postures, injuries or conditions (eg, herniations, hyperkyphosis, hyperlordosis, sciatica, etc), lower back pain is becoming a prevalent health problem. A series of 5 classes specially designed for those who are experiencing chronic or recurring back issues, this one-on-one programme will be tailored to your condition - to help identify the possible causes of your back pain.

The lower portion of the spine (lower back) holds most of the body weight. Being the mid-section that connects the upper and lower body, back health can be complex and usually involves more factors than one. Each week, we dive into a specific area of concern that gives rise to the back issue. This programme aims to holistically help you find relief and relaxation while at the same time, strengthen the key muscles.  

Yoga Therapy is not an antidote that gives miraculous results after just one session. It requires the commitment of the practitioner to return to the practice in order to achieve optimum results, which is why this Back Care Programme entails a series of 5 classes. You will also learn the tools to integrate these back-care skills into your own practice and daily activities. Allow this to be the starting point towards a healthy back.
